I would love to be able to fly. I had so many dreams when I was little that I could soar just like a bird. I think it would be awesome. I love feeling the rush of wind in my face, which is why I like things like roller coasters and driving on the freeway with all the windows rolled down. I love going up in airplanes and helicopters and the more turbulence there is, the more I enjoy it. Most of my favorite comic book heroes are the ones that don’t have super powers (Batman, Green Arrow, etc.) but even when I was little I wanted to fly just like Superman. Realistically, though, I would just love to have ANY super power! I can think of dozens of great uses for all of them.

The power to fly.

I’d love to have the ability to transport myself to another place just by thinking it. My family and friends are scattered all over, and I have a thing about flying. Plus I’m very impatient! I used to hate long car rides. Now that books on CD are available they make the time fly by, but transporting myself would also be very ecologically friendly way to get around.

Ohh, I really had a hard time with this one because I kept thinking “I would love to ______” and then I started to think of the possible drawbacks to every power I considered. For example, wouldn’t it be great to read everyone’s mind? Egad, to know what everyone was thinking when I was talking to them would be way too tough for my poor ego to handle. The first time my husband ever thought, however fleeting, that I looked my real age, I would scramble into the nearest closet with a quart of Haagen Dazs, totally depressed.
To be safe, I think the coolest super power would be the ability to understand and speak any and all languages. Imagine all the books I could read and how I could travel the world conversing with anyone. That would rock!

I don’t think I’d want a super power, other than being a genius like Iron Man and building myself a fabulous robot suit. Superheroes always end up putting themselves in horrible danger. I want to be safe inside my titanium suit at all times, finishing off my enemies with my laser beam eyes. I will never get out of my suit, so nobody will ever get me.
…I will obviously build a loo at the back.
