Ed Decter on “If you could have any super power, what would it be?”

Time shifting.  There is a basketball game back in high school I would like to play over.  And win.

The ability to fix things and/or make them new again with just a touch. I told that to someone one time and she told me it sounded like a power only a housewife would want! I disagree – think how awesome it would be to instantly erase years off of a car, fix a computer in seconds, and bring life back to your favorite pair of sneakers. Not to mention fixing the leaning tower of Pisa and the Coliseum while you’re at it.

Time traveling is cool but kind of confusing. Like what if you won the game and then became a famous basketball player instead of an author? The timeline would be totally changed.

I think flying would be cool!

Jessica, if I could shift time and go back and somehow become a 5′ 11″ famous Jewish basketball player instead of an author — I WOULD DO IT! No amount of timeshifting would make that happen, I’m afraid. Now, shapeshifting… that might work.
